Housekeeping Manager

We are currently looking for a Housekeeping Manager that can lead our fantastic team of housekeepers and ensure that our guests receive the highest level of service. Oversees all housekeeping and laundry operations of the hotel in order to ensure that our guests receive clean and comfortable accommodations each and every stay. Maintain organization of housekeeping operations throughout the entire hotel. Will build and enhance the current employee relations to ensure a high means of integration and collaboration with a shared vision of Hotel Madison.

Qualifications:

Must have exceptional organizational and management skills. Candidates need to be hardworking with the ability to manage time effectively. Given the nature of the position, the candidate needs to be confident using analytics in their daily work.

Banquet Manager

Responsible for in-house banquet facilities, overseeing the daily operations of all banquet functions, and overseeing maintenance of the banquet facilities and inventory. Strive to exceed all guest expectations.

Essential functions

  • Follow and enforce food safety/health code.
  • Support the daily operations of all banquets.
  • Assists in hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, motivation, evaluation, and discipline of all staff.
  • Ensure that all guests are treated in a courteous and professional manner and handle any guest conflicts.
  • Maintain all banquet and catering equipment and supplies including china, flatware, glassware, linen, serving components, and room cleanliness.
  • Conducts pre-shift meetings with staff.
  • Coordinate the delivery of all food and beverage for functions and all the details pertaining to functions being held in all Banquet and Meeting spaces maintaining the standards prescribed by management.
  • Oversees proper beverage stock levels and be accountable for banquet beverage inventory.
  • Organize and maintain control of all Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and communicate with necessary staff.
  • Execute banquet event orders with the collaboration of Group Sales, Conference Services Manager, and F&B management including Chefs.
  • Attends weekly BEO meetings and communicates any changes to staff.
  • Fills in as a working supervisor/manager in all other F&B outlets when there aren't any banquet events.
  • Assign banquet staff duties for each event.
  • Take ownership of events as soon as the client arrives.
  • Post banquet revenue daily.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
  • Be sure to perform, execute, as well as adjust to other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • At least two years of experience as a banquet manager preferred.
  • At least two years experience as a Banquet Captain or Supervisory Banquet experience.
  • Proficient in MS Excel/Word.
  • Experience in overseeing events of over 100 people or multiple events.
  • Experience managing staff in excess of five-plus employees.

Restaurant Manager

Position Summary

Supervises daily restaurant operations, maintains sanitation standards, and assists servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods. Strives to continually improve standards of performance to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize financial performance in areas of responsibility.Determines training needed to accomplish goals, then implements plan.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Must be willing to learn and perform new food and beverage programs while demonstrating outstanding guest service throughout the food and beverage department.

Essential Functions

  • Interviewing, training, and supervising food and beverage service staff.
  • Recognizes and resolves guest complaints and concerns.
  • Interacts with guests and promotes food & beverage products, facilities, and services.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of food and beverage work areas and facilities.
  • Performs and delivers special projects delegated by management.
  • Stays up to date on the latest developments pertinent to the department as well as the location.
  • Provides direct service to guests as needed, including, and not limited to serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, and touching tables.
  • Organizes and conducts pre-shift and department meetings.
  • Schedules and directs Front of House staff in their work assignments.
  • Control Food & Beverage Costs – to include service payroll, equipment, supplies and products.
  • Ensuring the establishment is complying with licensing, hygiene, health, and safety legislation and guidelines.
  • Participates in weekly/monthly inventories.
  • Supervise operations in grace+main coffee shop to ensure excellent service from point of entry to departure.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to resolve conflict and provide direction to teams.
  • Involvement/understanding of managing inventory, cost of goods, and overall control of financials.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food & beverage/hospitality profession. This includes the knowledge required for the management of people, complex problems, and food and beverage management.
  • Must have excellent vision for administrative responsibilities (i.e., forecast, purchase orders, budget review, and invoice approval).
  • Working knowledge of various computer software (Microsoft Office Suite, Tock, Micros)
  • Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another with impending deadlines and or established time frames.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Restaurant Manager, or Lead Management position.
  • Experience in a farm-to-table restaurant concept is a plus!
  • TIPS certified.
  • Serve Safe is a plus
